It’s almost time again for our big Memorial Day Concert — this year, being performed ON MEMORIAL DAY (Monday, May 30). What better way to enjoy your day off of work than to attend a patriotic concert in the blessedly air conditioned Koger Center for the Arts?

In addition to our standard patriotic fare, this year’s concert will feature another original piece composed by John Moody, talented son of our esteemed conductor emeritus Dr. William Moody.

The PCB will also be welcoming a special guest conductor (yet to be announced!) to the podium to close our Memorial Day concert. At the beginning of the month, we held a contest to offer a U.S. military veteran to conduct the PCB in the playing of our National March, “The Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Philip Sousa. We look forward to honoring our guest with this unique opportunity. Please come out on Memorial Day to show this and all of our veterans our support, and help us honor all of our fallen servicemen and women this Memorial Day.
